More Silliness from the Wall Street Journal
From wsj.com 13 December:
"Why So Many of Us Blow Off Fire Drills When We Know Better
"When it comes to fire drills at work, many of us revert to child-like behavior, even though recent history shows that not just mildly awful things can happen in office buildings, Jared Sandberg writes."
Well. And how many lives would have been saved at the WTC 9/11 if everyone there had always taken part in fire drills?
I know I haven't heard anything that the peoples' responses weren't good under the circumstances.
In other words, good responses at drills or not, the overwhelming majority of people would respond well and properly in the face a genuine occurence.
(Full disclosure: I happen to think on a day in, day out basis, the Journal is the best paper in the country in many ways.)
