Sometimes the Wingnuts Really are that Crazy

Let's catch our breaths; the War on Christmas really is, well, besides a decent enough joke, an utter crock, the hallucination of nutjobs.

Here's one, just my favorite, from the site:
Concerned Women for America Spokesman Compares “War on Christmas” to Nazi Europe

Robert Knight, director of Concerned Women for America’s Culture and Family Institute, appeared on the CNN program “Live From” to discuss the so-called “war on Christmas.” Knight, who previously asserted that saying “Happy Holidays” is an “overt attack on Christmas and ultimately the Christian faith,” told CNN that the Christmas situation in America today is similar to when the Nazis took control of Austria.

Said Knight, “You know, when the Nazis moved into Austria in 1936 they immediately removed Christmas from the schools, you can read about it in Maria Trapp’s… Maria Trapp wrote the story of the Trapp singers; it’s in The Sound of Music. And she said that she sent her kids to school every day after the Nazis took over and they came home and said ‘Mama, we can’t say the word Christmas anymore, it’s now winter holiday.’ I think that ought to disturb people that we’re moving towards that kind of attitude in this country.”
Problem is that the Nazis were pro-Christian and pro-family (outside of genocidal policies, of course).
