Now!!!!!!!
The Alito nomination is the issue requiring a filibuster both to prevent the confirmation but more importantly, perhaps, to trigger the radicals' so-called nuclear option.
There's clearly a growing undercurrent of hostility, let's say, to the GOP. Triggering the pointless, partisan, anti-democratic nuclear option would push things closer to the tipping point if not past it. And it would be o big even Big Media and its courtiers wouldn't be able to downplay and bury the story.
I am not normally one of those give them enough rope types -- too often a lot harm is done and the payoff never happens.
There's two exceptions here. First, pretty much most of the harm's been done; the administration and its congressional enablers has done this country grievous harm for at least the near to middle term.
Second, I think it just might work this time. It may well be early 1932 all over; everything old is new again....
