Out of My Mind

Even for an administration that's relentlessly full of crap*, this is bringing BS to a whole new low. From Salon:

....Tony Snow was asked today why the event had been moved. "It wasn't moved is the answer," he said. Snow said that the invitations -- the ones inviting folks to an event in the White House Rose Garden -- had gone out "preliminarily before the president had an opportunity to examine the schedule and before people had signed off on it." So the meeting location was changed after the invitations went out? "It was not changed," Snow said. "But some people were misled."

(*Of course, it's not true that our leaders regularly let alone exclusively lie to us. It's just that their public communications are made for effect, not truthiness or factual accuracy or any reflection of reality as it is as opposed to how it's deludedly imagined. One could argue that that is not the same as deliberately lying -- one could argue that but not me....)
